Braves End Profar's Streak Friday, August 4th , 2023 Juremi [UNRATED] Profar, second baseman for the Brooklyn Cyclones, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 3 tries against the Rome Braves today. Not only did the Braves break his 20-game hitting streak, they also beat Brooklyn by the score of 9-2. "Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Profar said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate." So far this season Profar is hitting .364 with 12 home runs, 67 RBIs and 73 runs scored. He has 149 hits in 409 at-bats and a .431 OBP. |
