Winston-Salem Snaps White Jr. Streak at 23 Thursday, September 4th , 2025 The Winston-Salem Dash clamped down on Lonnie White Jr. and put a stop to his hit streak. He went without a hit, ending the run at 23 straight games, but it didn't keep the Tourists from winning. Asheville downed the Dash, 3-0. "It was bound to happen," White Jr. said with a shrug after the game. In 98 games this season, White Jr. has compiled a .336 batting average with 127 hits and 10 home runs. He has also scored 114 times and knocked in 58 runs. |
