Greenville's Martes Nets A+ E Outstanding Pitcher Award Friday, October 13th , 2023 The Greenville Drive have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Francis [UNRATED] Martes, this year's High-A East Outstanding Pitcher Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Martes compiled a 19-3 record in 29 starts, tallied 295 strikeouts in 187.2 innings and recorded a 2.45 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .208 batting average against him. He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Ignacio Feliz of the Jersey Shore BlueClaws finished second in voting, while Kohl Franklin of the Jersey Shore BlueClaws finished third.
