Colmenarez Rips Bowling Green for 5 Hits Thursday, June 19th , 2025 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Carlos Colmenarez. Colmenarez went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Bowling Green pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Bowling Green Ballpark, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Asheville Tourists had a win, 10-2, over the Hot Rods. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Carlos Colmenarez grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 9th. Thus far this season in 57 games, Colmenarez is batting .341 with 2 home runs, 31 RBIs and 49 runs scored. He has 73 hits in 214 at-bats. |
