5-Hit Blitz by Asheville's Confidan Sunday, June 22nd , 2025 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Yerlin Confidan is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Winston-Salem Dash at McCormick Field. The monster effort from the 22-year-old right fielder helped the Asheville Tourists get the win, 18-6. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Dash manager . "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Yerlin Confidan singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 8th. So far this year, Confidan has 5 home runs and a .364 batting average. |
