High-A East Names Florentino Best Batter Monday, July 14th , 2025 It was an extraordinary week for Edward Florentino of the Asheville Tourists. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .478, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the High-A East. Last week Florentino went 11-for-23, racked up no home runs and 4 RBIs and scored 9 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Asheville first baseman. Looking at his stats this year, Florentino has compiled a .274 batting average, while hitting 11 home runs and driving in 60 runs. He has played in 80 games and scored 57 runs. |
