In an unforgettable performance, the 27-year-old Crawford fanned 15 Grasshoppers and sparked the 7-0 Winston-Salem Dash victory over Greensboro. He left Grasshoppers hitters mumbling and muttering at the plate. And when he needed a strikeout, he got it. "I don't know if there are many times that I've seen him throw better," said Winston-Salem manager . "His location and command were really something." In addition to collecting 15 strikeouts over 8.2 innings, Crawford allowed 4 hits and no walks in a superlative outing. "I thought I'd make it easy on the guys today," Crawford said with a smile. His record this season is 5-1 in 7 starts and Crawford has a 0.41 ERA. |
