Caba Cracks 5 Hits Sunday, August 24th , 2025 It was a sensational day at the plate for Starlyn Caba as he led the charge to a nifty 17-1 win over the Chiefs. The Great Lakes shortstop was pure misery for the Peoria pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Caba put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said , manager for the Chiefs, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Starlyn Caba singled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season, Caba is batting .328 with 2 home runs. He has scored 57 runs and driven in 39. |
