5-Hit Blitz by Great Lakes's Bishop Tuesday, July 1st , 2025 Braylon Bishop exploded for a barrage of base hits at Parkview Field. The Great Lakes center fielder had a field day in his team's 26-0 triumph over the Fort Wayne TinCaps, finishing 5-for-7. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Bishop must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Braylon Bishop flied out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, hit a sac fly in the 7th, singled in the 8th and doubled in the 9th. On the year, Bishop has hit .319 with 2 home runs, 17 RBIs and scored 12 runs. |
