Hulsizer Bangs 3 HR Against Peoria Saturday, July 1st , 2023 Anyone wearing a glove and sitting in the bleachers for today's Whitecaps-Chiefs game had a good chance at snagging a home run ball. West Michigan right fielder Niko Hulsizer thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the West Michigan to a 12-6 win over Peoria. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Hulsizer said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Hulsizer was 4-for-5 on the day with 6 runs batted in. Niko Hulsizer hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 8th. In this current campaign Hulsizer is hitting at a .366 clip with 29 home runs and 79 RBIs. |
