Ports Move on to Round 2 Wednesday, September 18th , 2024 After their 7-6 win today at Banner Island Ballpark over the San Jose Giants, the Stockton Ports will advance to the Round 2. Stockton won the series by a 4-2 margin. Leading the way for the Ports was center fielder Jim Unknown, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP. "I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus." The Stockton Ports don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Inland Empire 66ers - Lake Elsinore Storm series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
