Round 1 Goes the Distance, Lake Elsinore Prevails Thursday, September 19th , 2024 In an exciting Round 1 that had its fair share of drama and intrigue, perhaps it is Low-A West fans who have come out the winner. But on the field, the winners were the Lake Elsinore Storm, who edged the Inland Empire 66ers 4-3 to advance to the Round 2. Lake Elsinore won the final game by a 4-2 count to wrap up the series. Jim Unknown earned series MVP honors, by hitting .750 with a .750 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 1 runs. The Lake Elsinore Storm will play against the Stockton Ports in the next round. Stockton won their series against the San Jose Giants 4 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
