Minnesota turned a fine outing from starter Ryan Pepiot into a victory over the Cleveland Guardians at Progressive Field. The final score was 7-2. Pepiot, the winner, moves to 3-2. He threw 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 2 walks. Cleveland is 18-10 after the defeat.

Minnesota used a well-timed hit by Triston Casas to capture the win. The first baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Twins ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
