Detroit laid the wood on Los Angeles at Angel Stadium of Anaheim.

The Detroit Tigers cruised to a win over the Los Angeles Angels, 16-0, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Drew Waters led the way, going 3-for-5 for Detroit. Los Angeles drops to 11-17.

With Detroit leading 12-0 in the top of the ninth, Waters came up to bat against Los Angeles pitcher Jesus Tinoco. Waters hit a fastball to left for a grand slam home run. His 3rd home run of the season put the Tigers on top, 16-0.

"Give them credit," said losing manager Mark A. "They stayed relentless and kept putting it on us."
