Padres Come Back Late to Top Giants, 4-2
|
The San Francisco Giants got a sterling performance from pitcher Nabil Crismatt, but the San Diego Padres still prevailed, 4-2. Crismatt threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball. San Diego pitcher Ian Hamilton earned the win, hiking his record to 3-1. Chris Martin suffered the loss. Ryan Walker was called on to finish, recording his 9th save.
San Diego took a 4-2 lead on Jackson Chourio's 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Chourio hit in the bottom of the eighth, left San Francisco pitcher Chris Martin visibly frustrated.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Chourio.
After losing, San Francisco is 16-15.
