Angels Beat Visiting Phillies, 8-4
|
The Los Angeles Angels topped the Philadelphia Phillies, 8-4, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Los Angeles center fielder Adam Duvall was a spark plug for the offense. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win puts Los Angeles at 20-11.
With Los Angeles trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the third, Duvall hit a changeup from Miles Mikolas for a 3-run home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Angels ahead, 3-2.
"We maximized our offense today," said Los Angeles skipper Mark A. "That makes everyone's life easier."
