Guardians Earn 5-3 Win Against Blue Jays
|
The Cleveland Guardians topped the Toronto Blue Jays, 5-3, in 11 innings at Rogers Centre. The game was highlighted by the performance of Cleveland pitcher Paul Skenes. The loss drops the Blue Jays to 15-18.
Cleveland needed the clutch hitting of Jurickson Profar to seal the deal. The first baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Guardians on top, 3-2. For the game, Profar had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Paul is a tough competitor," said Cleveland manager Paul B.
