Los Angeles Defeated by Milwaukee, 7-4
|
Milwaukee third baseman Ernie Clement was instrumental in helping the Brewers triumph, 7-4, over the Los Angeles Angels. Clement went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Grayson Rodriguez, who is tied for 4th in the NL in innings pitched with 52.1, was the winning pitcher. Over 6 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. Steven Matz earned the save, his 1st, for the Brewers.
DJ LeMahieu drew 1 walk for Milwaukee. The 36-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Alec Marsh. It was his 11th walk of the season.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said LeMahieu.
Milwaukee is now 16-21, while Los Angeles is 14-21.
