Nationals Win 9-5 Nail-Biter Versus Guardians
|
Washington third baseman Jose Ramirez played a vital role in his team's 9-5 conquest of Cleveland. He hit 3 home runs. He drove in 7 runs and scored three times for Washington. Washington reliever Michel Otanez was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Dylan Floro took the loss. The Nationals improved their record to 16-21 by beating Cleveland.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 15th. With two out, Ramirez hit a sinker from Dylan Floro for a grand slam home run. The Nationals, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"It was terrific getting this win," Ramirez said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
