Kepler Stars for Diamondbacks in 7-3 Win
The Arizona Diamondbacks polished off the New York Mets by the score of 7-3. The largest share of the credit belonged to right fielder Max Kepler. Kepler went 2-2 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Diamondbacks. The save was credited to Fernando Cruz, his 2nd. Arizona is now 24-12. New York is 19-18.

With Arizona leading 3-2 in the bottom of the fourth, Kepler hit a cutter from Graham Ashcraft for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Diamondbacks ahead, 5-2.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Kepler said.
