Royals Win 6-5 Walk-Off
|
The Kansas City Royals defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, 6-5, at Kauffman Stadium. Kansas City was led by slugging third baseman Rafael Devers, who hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Kansas City reliever Brusdar Graterol picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Dauri Moreta absorbed the loss. Kansas City has run its win streak to 5 consecutive.
The Royals got a clutch hit from center fielder Corbin Carroll. In the bottom of the 12th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Royals.
"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Carroll. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."
