With catcher Adley Rutschman leading the charge, the Cincinnati Reds defeated the Atlanta Braves, 6-5, at Truist Park. Rutschman, who is a two-time All-Star, was 1-3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Seth Lugo was the winner. Over 6 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 8 hits, with no walks and 8 strikeouts. With the win over Atlanta, the Reds improved to 21-18.

With Cincinnati leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Rutschman hit a fastball from Patrick Sandoval for a 2-run double. It was his 8th double of the season and put the Reds ahead, 4-0.

"Enjoyed this one," Rutschman told the Cincinnati Daily News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
