Cease Leads Kansas City Past Boston
|
Dylan Cease, who is tied for 2nd in the AL in wins with 5, was brilliant in helping Kansas City beat the Boston Red Sox, 2-0. Earning his 12th save for Kansas City was Jhoan Duran. Kansas City is 19-22 and Boston, with the loss, 20-21.
Cease kept the Red Sox under his thumb. He scattered 2 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 10. The right-hander upped his season record to 5-3.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Cease said.
