The Texas Rangers extended their losing streak with a defeat by the Colorado Rockies.

The Colorado Rockies picked up a win at Globe Life Field, downing the Texas Rangers, 5-2. On the mound for Colorado was left-hander Robert Gasser, who played a pivotal role in the win. Gasser, now 2-4, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 6, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs.

Colorado used a well-timed hit by Michael Harris II to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rockies ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Texas manager Brian O.

The Rockies improved their record to 23-18 with the win over Texas.
