Boston starter Zack Wheeler pitched well against the Atlanta Braves at Fenway Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 2-1. The winner was John Schreiber in relief. His record improves to 5-1. Frankie Montas took the loss. After today's action, Boston sits at 22-24; Atlanta slips to 16-30.

The decisive blow was delivered by Brendan Donovan in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off 32-year old right-handed pitcher Frankie Montas to win the game for Boston. The home crowd went nuts.

Wheeler called the win "a collective effort."
