Luis Ortiz never let the Yankees get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Mets to a win, 4-0. Picking up his 6th save was 14-year veteran Kenley Jansen. The win elevated the Mets to 25-20.

The Mets got a big at-bat from shortstop Bobby Witt Jr.. For the game, Witt Jr. was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. In the top of the second, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 9th home run of the season gave New York a 1-0 lead.

Said losing manager Darrell S: "The at-bats, obviously, needed to be better."
