White Sox Defeat Cubs, 5-3
|
The Chicago White Sox defeated the Chicago Cubs, 5-3. Doing his part was shortstop Luis Urias, who was 2-5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Nick Mears collected his 1st save. Chicago now sits at 20-26, while Chicago falls to 25-21.
Urias had a game-changing home run in the top of the 11th. On a 2-2 fastball from Hunter Gaddis, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the White Sox a 5-3 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Urias.
"Our team showed some gumption," said Urias. "I like it."
