Duvall Rips 2 Home Runs in 6-4 Angels Triumph
|
Los Angeles first baseman Adam Duvall was a significant contributor in his team's 6-4 triumph over the Seattle Mariners. He was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Angels. Los Angeles pitcher Luis Patiño got the win, upping his record to 2-2. Kyle Freeland got the loss. Tyler Anderson picked up his 1st save of the season.
Duvall had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-0 fastball from Kyle Freeland, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Angels a 6-3 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Duvall.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Los Angeles manager Mark A.
The third-place Angels have won 7 consecutive games.
