Red Sox Rally Late to Nip Brewers
|
The Boston Red Sox, with some walk-off drama, delighted their fans at Fenway Park.
Boston pitcher Tanner Houck did his part in helping his team defeat the Milwaukee Brewers, 2-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. The winner in relief was Aroldis Chapman. He is now 2-2. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings.
In the bottom of the second, with two out and the game tied, 0-0, 25-year old left fielder Akil Baddoo won it for Boston. With a runner on 1st, Baddoo hit a 1-1 slider from Grayson Rodriguez for a run-scoring double, giving his team the 1-0 win.
"Scoring was at a premium tonight," Baddoo said.
With the win, Boston raised its record to 26-25.
