The home crowd had a good time watching the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets get after it.

Starting pitcher Braxton Ashcraft gave the New York Mets a rock-solid effort. The Waco, Texas native helped his team defeat the Los Angeles Dodgers, 3-0, at Citi Field. Kenley Jansen collected his 7th save.

New York second baseman Marcus Semien helped the Mets go up, 1-0, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Semien hit a run-scoring single off Los Angeles pitcher Jared Jones.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Semien said.

The win gives New York a season record of 31-22.
