Twins Tuck Away 9-1 Win Over Tampa Bay
The Minnesota Twins beat the Tampa Bay Rays, 9-1, at Tropicana Field. The win was due in part to left fielder Dairon Blanco, who was 2-4 with 2 doubles and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. With the win, Minnesota upped its record to 28-27.

Minnesota won the game in part because of Mike Yastrzemski. The designated hitter ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Twins ahead, 5-1. For the game, Yastrzemski had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Minnesota skipper Jonathan A.
