The Boston Red Sox picked up a win at American Family Field, dropping the Milwaukee Brewers, 4-3. Lucas Giolito, who finished 5th in the AL in ERA with 3.05 in 2022, was the difference-maker. Giolito got the win, improving to 3-4. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. Boston is now 27-31, while Milwaukee is 26-31.
Boston relied on the hitting of Taylor Trammell to pick up the win. The left fielder ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the seventh inning to put the Red Sox on top, 4-1. For the game, Trammell had 1 triple and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
