Judge has 3 hits in Orioles Win
|
The Baltimore Orioles topped the St. Louis Cardinals, 9-3, in American League action at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The game was highlighted by the performance of Baltimore center fielder Aaron Judge. The 4th-place Cardinals have lost 4 straight games.
Trevor Story had a big 2-run home run for the Orioles in the bottom of the second inning. With Baltimore leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Shota Imanaga, who is tied for 10th in the NL in innings pitched with 72.2, and swatted a home run to right. It was his 3rd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Orioles ahead, 3-0.
"The name of the game is scoring runs," Judge said. "We did a good job of that today."
