Nationals Win, 4-1, Versus Seattle
|
Washington and Seattle duked it out and the Nationals came out victorious.
The Seattle Mariners could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Spencer Turnbull into a win. Instead, the Washington Nationals prevailed, 4-1. Turnbull threw 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball. Griffin Jax finished to wrap up his 13th save.
The Nationals got a gift in the top of the ninth inning, when they were leading 2-1. With two out and the bases loaded, Jose Ramirez reached on an error by the right fielder, driving in 2 run3. It made the score 4-1, Washington.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Ramirez told the Washington Daily News.
The loss makes Seattle 22-32.
