Detroit Extends Series Lead in Low-Scoring Affair
The Detroit Tigers moved to within one game of the League Championship Series, downing the visiting Cleveland Guardians at Comerica Park by a score of 3-2. Tigers right-hander Tanner Bibee had a strong outing in which he threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The win gives the Tigers a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 Division Series.

In the bottom of the 4th, Detroit took the lead on a 2-run home run by Brandon Marsh. At the time, the Tigers were trailing 1-0, but Marsh's hit with two outs against Cleveland pitcher Paul Skenes put them in front, 2-1.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Marsh.

Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday at Progressive Field in Cleveland.
