Zach Neto exploded for a barrage of base hits at Petco Park.

The San Diego shortstop had a field day in his team's 15-2 triumph over the Pittsburgh Pirates, finishing 5-for-6.

"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."

Neto must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Zach Neto grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and singled in the 7th.

This year, Neto is batting .271 with 57 hits and 11 home runs. He has scored 31 times and has batted in 37 runs.
