Detroit Wins Division Series
With a 16-9 win to wrap up the series at Progressive Field, the Detroit Tigers have eliminated the Cleveland Guardians in the Division Series and move on to the League Championship Series.

Detroit controlled the series from the outset and won it in a 3-0 sweep.

Randy Arozarena led the charge offensively for the victors, winning series MVP honors. He posted a .545 batting average, along with a .571 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 6 runs.

"We're not done yet," the MVP said. "There is still a lot to accomplish."

The Detroit Tigers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the New York Yankees - Oakland Athletics series. New York leads the series 2 games to 1. The League Championship Series is scheduled to begin on October 12th , 2025.
