The Kansas City Royals downed the Chicago White Sox, 2-0, in Game 2 of the Wild Card Game. Lance McCullers was a key factor. He threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball. The win moves Kansas City into a 1-1 tie with Chicago in the series.

McCullers earned the win, going 7.1 strong innings for Kansas City. The native of Tampa, Florida, allowed just 1 hit, while striking out 8. Chicago hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.

"Lance just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Kansas City manager Jim H.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.
