Walls Blasts Athletics, Yankees Take Game 3, 11-6
The New York Yankees moved to within one game of the League Championship Series, downing the visiting Oakland Athletics at Yankee Stadium by a score of 11-6. Yankees shortstop Taylor Walls did some major damage. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win gives the Yankees a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Division Series.

A key moment came with two out in the bottom of the second. That's when Walls hit a fastball from Nick Lodolo for a 2-run home run, putting New York up, 4-1.

Athletics manager Brad P did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference "if and when we win the World Series."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Yankee Stadium in New York.
