Oakland Win Evens Series at 2
The Oakland Athletics and the New York Yankees will take the Division Series to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation, the Athletics beat the Yankees, 4-2, at Yankee Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Oakland left-hander Yusei Kikuchi had a big role in the win. He threw 6.2 innings allowing 2 runs.

Gio Urshela came through with a big-time hit for Oakland. The designated hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"I thought we played a nice game," Urshela told the Oakland Citizen. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."

The next game is set to be played for Saturday, October 11th , 2025 at Oakland Coliseum in Oakland.
