The Houston Astros beat the Toronto Blue Jays, 6-5. Houston pitcher and Sabana Grande de Palenque, Dominican Republic, native Framber Valdez led the way. Houston now sits at 33-25, while Toronto falls to 25-33.

Houston used a well-timed hit by Alek Thomas to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Astros ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Valdez, "and then get after it again."
