Meadows Blasts Marlins, Phillies Take Game 3, 4-3
|
The Philadelphia Phillies have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Miami Marlins, winning, 4-3, at Citizens Bank Park. Phillies center fielder Parker Meadows was 2 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The win cuts the deficit facing the Phillies to 2-1 in the best-of-5 Division Series.
With the game tied, 2-2, in the bottom of the sixth, Meadows had a key at-bat for Philadelphia. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, Meadows hit a 2-run single off Brock Stewart, making the score 4-2, Phillies.
"I like our moxie," said Phillies manager Jon C.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
