The New York Mets took down the Philadelphia Phillies by the score of 5-3 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the Wild Card Game. The largest share of the credit belongs to New York starter Chayce McDermott, who threw 5.1 innings allowing 3 runs.

New York used a clutch at-bat from Matt Olson to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Mets ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said McDermott.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
