The Colorado Rockies moved to within one game of the League Championship Series, downing the Chicago Cubs on the road at Wrigley Field by a score of 4-2. Rockies left-hander Shane McClanahan had a strong outing. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball. The win gives the Rockies a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 Division Series.

Colorado used the timely hitting of Cal Raleigh to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Rockies on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Raleigh.

The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, October 7th , 2025 at Colorado Field in Denver.
