Schwellenbach Now 5-7 After Beating Mariners
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Minnesota Twins and the Seattle Mariners, Spencer Schwellenbach, who is the top prospect in the Twins organization, was the difference-maker. The Minnesota right-hander spearheaded the 2-0 win. Jason Foley, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. Minnesota is now 30-27. Seattle is 22-34.
Schwellenbach earned the win, going 7 strong innings for Minnesota. The native of Saginaw, Michigan, allowed just 2 hits, while striking out 7. Seattle hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.
"Spencer was pretty good at keeping their guys off-balance," said Minnesota manager Jonathan A.
