League Championship Series Game 1 Victory for May and Miami
The Miami Marlins powered past the visiting Colorado Rockies, 3-2, in the opener of the League Championship Series at loanDepot Park. Miami starting pitcher Dustin May threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball, to lead the charge. The Marlins now lead the series 1-0.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Marlins had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit a 2-run double. The double came off Shane McClanahan and made the score 3-1, Marlins. Guerrero Jr. went 2-3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI.

"Felt great, felt really good," said May.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at loanDepot Park in Miami.
