Lowe Blasts White Sox, Athletics Take Game 2, 7-4
|
The Oakland Athletics defeated the Chicago White Sox, 7-4, in Game 2 of the League Championship Series. Making an impact was left fielder Josh Lowe, who hit 2 home runs. The win moves Oakland into a 1-1 tie with Chicago in the series.
Oakland used the hitting of Kyle Tucker to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Athletics on top, 4-1. For the game, Tucker had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Lowe.
Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday at Oakland Coliseum in Oakland.
