Angels Rally Late to Nip Rays
Calvin Mitchell did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to spare the Tampa Bay Rays an extra-inning, 7-6 loss to the Los Angeles Angels at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Mitchell belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Bryan Abreu picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ethan Small suffered the loss. Los Angeles is now 30-28, Tampa Bay 19-39.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Los Angeles. That's when Gunnar Henderson hit a 3-run home run off 28-year old left-handed pitcher Ethan Small to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Henderson said after the game.
