The 9-3 Toronto win over Houston was due in large part to Max Muncy. The Blue Jays first baseman was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Toronto pitcher Max Scherzer got the win. He's now 4-3. David Festa was tagged with the loss. By defeating Houston, the third-place Blue Jays improved to 26-33.

Toronto grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Muncy hit a 3-run home run off Mitch Spence. His 10th home run of the season put the Blue Jays out in front, 5-2.
