Tampa Bay starter Grant Holmes pitched well against the Texas Rangers at Tropicana Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-3. The win puts Tampa Bay at 21-39.

Tampa Bay designated hitter Ty France contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 46th hit of the season and put the Rays ahead, 4-1.
